How I Inscribed the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen on the DERO Blockchain – Chakipu
I’m sharing how I managed to inscribe a historic text like the DECLARATION OF HUMAN AND CIVIC RIGHTS (France) on the DERO blockchain. This was made possible thanks to the TELA tool and the Engram wallet. Let’s dive in!
Introduction:
The DERO blockchain is a private and secure blockchain that allows data to be stored immutably and confidentially. It’s the perfect technology to safeguard texts of great importance to humanity.
Engram is a swiss knife too including a wallet for DERO developed by @civilware. But it’s not just any wallet! It includes powerful tools like TELA, which makes interacting with smart contracts a breeze.
My goal was clear: to inscribe the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen on the blockchain to ensure its immutability and accessibility for all. Here’s how I did it:
Step 1:
Preparing the text I converted the full text of the Declaration into a format compatible with blockchain storage, like plain text, html or JSON.
Step 2:
Using TELA to create a smart contract TELA makes it easy to interact with the DERO blockchain. I created a dedicated smart contract to store the text.
The smart contract acts as a “container” that holds the document.
Step 3:
ing the smart contract on the blockchain Using Engram, I deployed my smart contract on the DERO blockchain. Within a few clicks, everything was online, secure, and immutable.
Why use the blockchain?
By storing the text on the blockchain, I ensured:
– Immutability: The text cannot be altered.
– Accessibility: Always available.
– Preservation: A modern way to safeguard history.
The result:
The DECLARATION OF HUMAN AND CIVIC RIGHTS is now permanently inscribed on the DERO blockchain. You can access it securely via its hash or smart contract ID!
Why All of this?
Because fundamental rights must remain universal and accessible, even in the digital age. This is my humble contribution to preserving these values.
Want to try this yourself?
If you’d like to inscribe a text or project on the DERO blockchain:
– Download Engram (dev branch).
– Learn to and get comfortable using TELA.
